Bevan Marchand

It was when I went to Oxford in 1997 to study Maths that, to my surprise, I met friends who introduced me to the intellectual foundation for Christianity. I started my journey as a disciple of Jesus in November that year.

In 2011 I completed the CS Lewis discipleship course exploring faith in the modern workplace, and from 2020-2022 I completed a part time postgraduate diploma in Integrative Theology at London School of Theology.

Evangelism is very important to me because I met Jesus through other Christians sharing their faith with me.

Following a short career as a Statistician at the Department for Work and Pensions and a longer time as a Transport Planner and Senior Benchmarking Analyst at Transport for London, I felt called to become a teacher and am currently Head of Maths at a large secondary school. I have also enjoyed helping to lead 'YU' (the 16-18 teenage discussion group) at DBC for several years.

My main hobby is Scottish dancing, and I also enjoy walks with friends.
