**Update on Stepping Stones**
Dear Stepping Stones Friends and Family
We hope you’re keeping well and have been enjoying the summer.
We’re posting to share with you some news about Stepping Stones.
Following much prayer, discussion, and discernment, we are sorry to be sharing that Stepping Stones won’t be returning for the Autumn 2026 and Spring 2027 Terms (September – April).
This is for a variety of reasons, including e.g., the current context (as well as our Team Leader finishing, the majority of the team are also finishing and taking up new opportunities / having a well-deserved rest!), and the need to take a step back to prayerfully look at the wider picture and future plans for Didcot Baptist Church (in line with the new church vision statement) so as to help ensure that what happens next is joined up with and part of this.
We are keen to build on / learn from the great work of Stepping Stones, and as we continue to seek God’s leading for the future, this will certainly feed into our reflections.
The ‘Roots and Shoots Project’ that Didcot Baptist Church are embarking on in the next year, will hopefully be of help to us in this, with its focus on responding to the changing season, and preparing for future growth, in our work among children and youth.
Our hope is to be able to share more about the long-term future of this area of our work by Easter.
